Weight Room
Today we worked on the muscle Latissimus Dorsi. I was not that bad, but I loved my personal workout exercises. I wanna lose weight on my thighs and Nimrit and I worked on it. And I love how Mr.Neufeld thinks I hate gym, it's actually not that bad. I'm sitting right beside him while I type this. Yah gym rocks!

My Goal/Workout
My goal for this year is to improve my effort and try and bring my effort from TaeKwonDo into gym class everyday. Also I wanna get to black belt also. I have picked a work out that I wanna do to help me. I wanna improve my legs so it can help me in TaeKwonDo.

MY FINAL BLOG POST Laura. Carleton/ June 7/ 2014
Participation:
The quality of my participation in class is in the middle. I am mostly positive about the activities we do in class. My attendance in class is good, I never miss a day unless it's because of a orthodontist session. My gym strip is lacking, but I wanna improve. I never complain about the activities choices, I always like to play games as long as it's with my friends.
Social Responsibility and Contribution to the class:
My leadership I wouldn't say is lacking, whenever Jackie kinda doesn't like what were doing I always say "come on lets do it anyways" she shows that she wants to do it. I don't usually help the other classes, if were doing a choice day with other classes and and someone needs help then I'm always there. I'm always a positive person towards things, I think I get that from TaeKwondo. There will always be my favorite fitness choices or choice day activities, but as long as I am with my friends and their having fun I am.
Healthy Living:
My overall goal in life is to do what I love to do. I don't wanna to be really "fit", I am not saying I don't wanna be healthy. What I am trying to say is whenever my peers come up to me and say " I improved my beep test score by 3 etc". I am very happy by their improved goals, it's just sometimes improving goals or getting a higher score doesn't mean your better than what you were before, it means that number got improved. I'm not trying to say I don't wanna improve it's just I am happy with myself now as a person. The one thing that stops me from doing somethings is probably my peers. It seems that my peers choices influence mine a lot. My dietary choices are fine at home even though my parents aren't the healthy people. I learn to eat healthy foods, it might sound weird, but I watch The Doctor Oz show sometimes. My TaeKwondo classes show me as a person what I can do outside of my TaeKwondo school. I am 4 belts away from black and I am ready to over come struggles and push my way to black belt. The plans/goals I want to finish by the end of grade 12 is I wanna be a black belt. I wanna try harder next year in school and gym.
Digital Portfolio and Reflective Skills-
I would say I have okay amount of posts on my blog, the only problem is picture evidence. I have pictures of TaeKwondo and that's about it. I'm going to be honest I don't wanna take a picture of me on someone's phone. I honestly don't feel comfortable doing that. All the comments on my blog from peers are positive and their proud of me. If I had a phone or a device I would post a lot more digital evidence, but I can't.
Overall the year as been great. There is a lot of things to work as a person and my goals.
I would give myself a C+.

Fitness Friday with Jackie/ Taekwondo
Fitness on Friday was fun. We had the choice to go on the Ipads and pick our own fitness workouts. Jackie and I grabbed two yoga mats and picked a work out that we wanted to both work on. I felt it went very well and got a lot done. I feel like me and Jackie had a lot of fun and getting a lot done as well I wouldn't mind doing it again. Also Taekwondo this Sunday was fun we had master Thorton instead of master Jeff because Master Jeff was at a Wedding. Master Thorton taught us some new steps combined with kicks it was a blast.

The quality of my blog
I find that I need to post a bit more stuff on my blog. I post more TaeKwondo then I do gym but thats because I love it. My quality of my blog is okay it just needs a bit more work. The way it needs to improve is simple is to post more stuff.

Sparring Gear / Report card for Physical Education 9/10
Well I got my full set sparring gear ya! I might take sparring class for the first time on friday from 5:00 to 6:00pm. Nimrit my TaeKwondo buddy were deciding in sunday class if we wanna take it together, My Master Jeff said the first class is free to try out. I might consider it! I attached some Photo's of my new full set sparring gear! From the top left going across to the right is my helmet, mouth guard, and arm guards. The second row is my chest plate, shin guards and foot guards. The very last row is my blue belt, with my report card and award that I got on December 14. I only have 5 belts away from black and my next test is coming up in April!
Since the 1st Semester is ending this upcoming Thursday I have to do a final report card.
Gym was kinda rough for me this semester, But all the times I had fitness I worked My hardest. I feel like when I i work with my friends Nimrit or Jenny I do better maybe hanging around my friends isn't the best. I need to get my gym strip in my bag and in my locker so I can have it everyday for gym. In semester 2 I'm going to try a lot harder. And not let my friends drag me down!
